I am processing the manufacturer's warranty support as well hoping they can replace the lower triangle part with a new one. If the manufacturer refuses the claim, I am going to repair it from a professional carbon frame repair shop as the crack is just surface damage.@sulsj A cracked chainstay should be a complete frame replacement, right?
As frames go, I've always operated under the assumption that if it can crack once, its a lot easier to crack the second time. But if its a professional shop specializing in carbon fiber I suppose that sounds comforting.I am processing the manufacturer's warranty support as well hoping they can replace the lower triangle part with a new one. If the manufacturer refuses the claim, I am going to repair it from a professional carbon frame repair shop as the crack is just surface damage.
When it comes to Sunday's bicycle insurance, having coverage can be a real game-changer.
Are you somehow affiliated with Markel? I'm comparing between the two and you have a lot of comments across several posts disparaging Sunday Insurance, with some things that seem false based on what I'm reading. Sundays has the 'New for old' if youregister within 60 days of purchase of a new bike. Markel is saying I only get actual-cash value with no option for an 'new for old'. I haven't read anywhere you have to place a claim with other insurance for damages or theft based on actual claims from people on reddit describing their experience. Just curious where you are finding that information.Further details on what is so bad about their policies is here.
- Their policy is secondary-coverage only (you have to place a claim for other, primary insurance first before you can talk to them)
- Sundays is actual-cash value, which means they depreciate your insured value.
- They have an enormous list of exclusions and coverage exceptions in their policy, compared to their prime competitor Markel.
