Hello,

I have 500 watt rear hub bafang motor and 48 volt battery. My speed limit is 40km/h.

My friend have 250 watt rear hub bafang motor and 48 volt battery. My friend's speed limit is 40km/h.

İt is not fair. How can I upgrade or unlock or hack or etc. speed limit?

Is the only way, changing the wheel diameter?

Thx.

On the Pedal Assist tab set Speed Limited: By Display’s Command. The display has a max speed setting of 70kph/44mph.
In the Throttle Handle tab set Speed Limited: 40kph. Don’t set it to By Display’s Command or else there can be throttle lag in PAS0.
The max Speed limit is only used in pedal assist. The throttle ignores it. So with the above settings the speed limit is 70kph/44mph.

Ok, then go ahead and set the option to select “By Display’s Command” for the Speed Limit on the Throttle Handle setting tab. Then the max setting is 70kph on the Display tab.
I attached screenshots of the settings. My display is an Eggrider, so your display settings will look different, but should be able to be set to 70kph.

So firstly i am more of a diy ebikes person. With my 500w bafang rear hub motor on 29" rim it goes top speed 50km/h or 31mp/h with me on the bike and the thing is I think it can go faster limited by controller because my no load speed is the same as loaded speed. Oh and my battery is 48v. The controller is 30A max JN controller off aliexpress. Ditch the bafang display and controller maybe???

My throttle not ignores. I lift rear wheel and push throttle, display shows me 40 kph.
If you get same or very close no load speed (wheel off the ground) as your load speed (when your riding) difference being maybe 1km/h then your limited by the controller which you most likely are. Whats a bet your friend with the 48v 250w has basically same current rating on his controller to you im guessing something between like max current 17A and 20A
