Virginia Newbie - Pedego or E-Lux?

Hello All! So excited to own an e-bike. I rented a Pedago a few years back and loved the experience. Will be moving to VA Beach part-time and want an e-bike for commuting to stores and restaurants, riding the boardwalk AND checking out easy trails in the state parks near the beach. I am overwhelmed by all of the choices of bikes. (I am NOT a fitness guru. Average 54 year old.) I would like a fairly retro design in a pastel color.I would like to patronize a local shop. The two shops near me offer Pedego or E-Lux but I don't see a lot of chatter about these brands on-line outside of paid ads. Thoughts? Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. Glad to hear that you are shopping locally. Make sure to check out the length of the warranty that each brand offers. I would also test ride both brands of ebikes. Once you find an ebike you like, check out the reviews online.
