Is 3' Chain Lock Long Enough?

Hello

Have my first ebike comming next week. I am wondering if a 3' chain lock length is long enough for most "normal" locking situations to bike racks ect. I am talking more about the act of locking the bike up more than the security of a specific model. Bike is a Aventon Aventure.2 will primarily in the suburbs and only locked up for a short period of time, running errands, library ect.

I would buy a 5ft.

and disc brake alarm/locks (2 of them if you decide to be gone from ebike for a while) and another chain lock to really deter thieves.
