Aventure Fork stuck locked out

Have largely run my Aventures Zoom forks locked out as I'm riding limestone trail and the stock fork sucks. Well I've lost more than 70lbs over the winter and wanted to see how they are now lol. Well low and behold while the mechanism moves correctly with the same amount of resistance I remember, the forks stay locked out regardless of position.

I'm not educated on how these lockouts work so I'm not sure where to start diagnosing it. I know this really isn't an e-bike specific issue but I figure folks on this forum might have experiance with the Aventure. Also probably going to post a different thread asking for recommendations on replacement forks.

In my own research I just found this video from Zoom which at least shows how this thing breaks down. I guess I can assume the hydraulic cartridge is seized.

Pulled the cap off and used an allen key and manually adjusted it with no change
