How compatible is a Marlin 6 for electric bike conversion?

I have the below bike as stock and have had it for some time now;

I was hoping to convert it with a TSDZ2B 500W with a large battery and was wondering if the 1x10 system would provide any complications. Any experience with this would be appreciated.

You will need to do some chasing for clearer direction on Marlin 6 - on some model years there can be Clearance Problem:

You should Bafang the go to mid-drive for your 1st build if for no other reason Bafang dominates the DIY builders space.
