On my KHS fat bike equipped with BBSHD mid drive the original hydraulic rear brake developed a leak in the second winter of riding so it was replaced with a cable operated disc brake. Using the front brake on the singletrack winter trails I ride is not a great idea so the rear gets the most use. It's now been about 6 years further on and during the last few rides when the rear brake was applied it started sticking. By that I mean the bafang lever needed to be pushed that last bit in order to deactivate the motor cut off.
Turned out the inner cable sheathing made of lots of small strands of wire had pushed through the metal cable end and was causing the sticking. Easy fix once identified.
