EggRider troubleshoot

After a few thousand kms of very enjoyable trail riding my EggRider has suddenly quit!
Turned on and got the usual display minus Speed (no kms per hour)
All pass levels choosable but all now (including 0) give instant full power only.
can get some minimal control from throttle at start up, then goes straight to full power.
I can connect through blue tooth to EggRider App but cannot read or write the controller with it.

Trouble shooting so far:
Tried a different display (Bafang C961)
- The whole system works fine with this display!
Returned to Egg rider display…and have the same problems as previously…
tried swapping out cable harness - with no change.
Tried swapping out the Bafang controller with exact replacement - with no change.

Updated app to V2.6.0.3 & display firmware to V2.6.49 - with no change.
with the above updates the C961 display still runs the system ok.
but when EggRider starts it says “NO PROTOCOL FOUND” !
Same if i start in default settings (power + menu)

Specs:
BBS-HD 750W LUNA 1707050301
Bafang version BBS3 Firmware 0.0.1.1 48 volt
Bafang controller CR RIOE1000 SN….C571-30-506….1707120276

My laptop is a Mac…… so.. no programming cable!

Why try to get something going that has already let you down once? I had the same thing with my Eggrider. The day it stopped working I bought a 500C and have loved it. Use the 961 until it gets there. Stay safe.
