Ebikes as a therapy device

Has anyone ever had their healthcare cover an ebike as a therapy device? I mean they put you on the bikes in physical therapy for so many issues, nearly every time I go I'm on one. I have seen it has happened, but never found out how, who, or why it was covered. Wondering if anyone had any personal experience trying to get one covered for health reasons.

I've never heard of this, but I have heard of employers getting government handouts to help employees buy eBikes because it reduces traffic congestion and improves overall health.

Haven't heard that , but after a few hundred km of riding my new e-bike Im just loving it .
I've had two new knees fitted and this bike makes me exercise them far better than my mountain bike I used to use, or walking around my hilly farm .
And I love riding walk/cycle tracks ,flying up hill ,going past all those young kids peddling away on flash looking and expensive mountain /pushbikes .
I'm 80yrs young
