My intro - Hey there from California

Hey all. I'm new to E-bikes. My wife gifted me a Freesky Himalaya in July. I mostly love it. With some tweaks, I'll absolutely love it. I live in a very hilly area, where the electric "help" is very welcome. The sad brakes on this bike though are not very welcome on those hills. That is the only thing I'm looking forward to upgrading. I live in the Don Pedro Lake area - lots of bad roads and rattlesnakes. I wouldn't live anywhere else

Welcome aboard. I looked up your bike. It has hydraulic 160mm disc brakes. You can probably upgrade to 180mm, but keep in mind, eBikes are significantly heavier and will not stop as briskly as non eBikes. If you see a rattler, dont stop! But, don't run over it either, if you can avoid.
