I have just bought a merida espresso 600 and the batter cover keeps randomly opening when I ride. I spoke to the dealer who said it is a common problem with merida bikes and just to strap it up. I'd this true, I spend $5700.00 on a new bike and have to accept a common problem. Anyone else encountered this.

I will be very interested in answers on here. I picked up my new eSPRESSO CC 600 EQ last week. I have only done around 40 ks on it so far, but not had any problems. I have opened the battery cover several times to show friends and family, and find it locks properly when securing the battery cover. I am very happy with the battery range, and love riding the bike.
