Full Battery, No Power

Good afternoon, I am not understanding what the problem with my battery is. I charged it to full (green light). Unplugged it. Nothing works. I have discovered I can turn the bike on with plugged in. When the bike is on I show a full battery. The second it is unplugged the power goes away. The light is also green on the charger.

I had seen on Amazon where this has happened to others but there was no resolve.

I have had no responses from the seller. This is the Cliensy Mx 350 ebike.

Any ideas on what I can or should do?

I would check the battery for battery voltage with a voltmeter. That's the 1st step I would take.

Ok, I tried that. And not knowing what I was doing I did get a reading of 18 (according to the paperwork with the meter).

The info on the back of the battery is:
Battery model: dynamic lype
voltage/capacity: 36v/8Ah
Date of production: 2021/05
Max charge current: 3A

sooooo, I don't know what that means. Do I just need a new battery? or is there something else possibly wrong?

Was your volt meter set to volts dc? If it was & you are only getting 18volts. I would say your battery is dead. But if your charger is bad it wont charge the battery up. So it could possibly be a charger problem.

It would help if you got pics of your battery & of the battery connection point. Also you might not be able to get a direct replacement battery.
What kind of bike is it.

As @DieselTech said above, it is more than likely your battery if you are getting only 18v when you check it.

Here is a direct replacement battery with a charger. But if it were me, I would get the 12ah battery it's the same dimensions except 1inch thicker.

Well if that battery of yours only has 18volts at that red connector in your hand. Then either the battery or charger went bad or both.

I try good buddy. Or at least give it a shot. Lol I'm hoping if I ever have ebike problems. Someone on here will help me.

I would wait till your new battery shows up, before you dispose of your old battery. If the new battery & charger restores/fixes your ebike. Then dispose of the old battery.

I just realized I never followed up:

The problem was the battery. The charger was working fine. I have the new battery/charger mentioned previously.

I cannot express how thankful I am for the help I got here. THANK YOU!

I just brought a 36 v 8.1 amp Reention foldable bike from someone with no charger.
almost brand new the owner only rode it once, put the Tyre on backwards etc. because her son overseas brought it for her she never had proof of purchase. not sure what to do from here as e bike shops wont help without proof. Do you know what charger I could buy?
sorry didn't mean to randomly ask you but I'm new on here and i don't understand how it works yet.
I appreciate any help
