Can I replace YL81C-B display with YL80C on Engwe L20 bike?
Is it gonna work?

Mainly because YL80C has tonnes of fine tuning. You can change power and speed of each level. That is very useful.

On L20 you can change only max speed.

Did you get a solution? let me know as I've got the same problem on a EP2-pro.

Hi. Ep2 pro suppose to have YL80C display already. I've seen some had YL80C-C display. Menu a bit different and think you can't change % on each level. But you still have 9 levels versus L20 , 5 levels only. 5mph 10, 15 , 20 , 25.
So on YL80C you can have any speed you want on each level ,minimum is 5mph with a weight.

In Ali express there is a guy selling this display, he can also customize it for probably any bike. Cost around £62 and £79

My L20SE has the YL80C display and all that can be changed is the speed. I found a way of getting the PAS settings of 7 and 9 but power outputs are in a random order and can’t be changed so that was of no use, so perhaps some of that is down to the controller as well as the display.
When I contacted Engwe they said the settings are fixed and can’t be changed.
Wish I had know this before I had bought it as I would have bought a step thru bike and stuck a Yosepower e-bike kit as I did on my trike as everything can be changed on it and it performs well.

Update:
On contacting bestbuygear.com who I bought my L20SE from they said they can sell me a different version of the controller and display (they refer to it as instrument) which will allow access to all the settings for £86 so I’m going to give that option a try.
