E bike surges, 4 seconds on , 4 second off.

I have an aventon aventure with only 50 miles on it. My throttle powers 4 seconds on 4 seconds off. Sometimes it is fine. I get no error messages. What could be wrong?

like full blast on?
is it in walk mode?

Full throttle level ground. It would power on to add some speed, then power off, but I was coasting enough to maintain forward progress. Up a hill not.

It's either throttle or controller. Odd fault. Do you have pedelec sensors, have you tested them, do you have a walk mode, does it do the same thing, disconnect throttle and test.

My bad. I was trying to use throttle while pedaling. They cancel out. The shop corrected me.
