Adding Brake light to ebike

My ebike already has running/brake lights, they are clear and attach to the lower rear frame near axle. Connect with 2 pin Higo connectors from the controller (500w48v). Battery is 48v13ah... I tried attaching a separate brake light to the rear rack using a 2 pin Higo Y-splitter. All lights work until I connect the new light. I tested the splitter on another bike, it works there. The new light works if I only connect ONE of the existing rear lights. When I connect ALL lights, NEW light goes out and existing lights work fine,

Seems like it is just something simple I'm overlooking. Any help would be awesome.

Turns out I had to run the new light directly off one of the tail light wires and then run both tail lights off of the other power wire. Alls well now.
