Anyone with a Como 4.0 experience a random "metallic" rattle in the front end when going over minor bumps in the road? Just can't pinpoint it. Suspect the fender, but can't recreate the noise when at a standstill. Am concerned it's something internal, but where. Will be taking into the shop for help, but just curious if anyone else has experienced this? Just bought the bike yesterday at a steep discount and am really happy with the smooth ride. But will be truly bummed if this is one of those mystery noises that's never figured out!

Well, no, it's not the fender. Cannot recreate this noise when at a standstill. Happens when hitting bumps/rough patch in road, not specifically when braking. Sounds like a loose magnet or some internal metal piece rattling around/being shaken by vibration. Is there anything inside the battery compartment, the head tube, or any moving parts inside the hydraulic brakes system that would vibrate/rattle/shake bake and forth? The wheel bearings are sealed, but ? There is no wobbling of the wheel, no feeling of loss of control of the bike, just this damn shaking noise that makes the bike sound cheap!!

What type of forks do you have? If you have front suspension can it be locked out? If you have non suspension front forks have you checked the steering stem bearings?

Thank you for the suggestion, non-fork. Will be leaving the bike with my LBS until they figure it out. While a 2021, I just bought it (brand new), so shouldn't be any noises. The sound is something like plates in your kitchen cabinet giggling during an earthquake. It's as though something isn't seated properly or not tightened fully and only manifests when going over bumps/rough patches when vibration is caused. Had to remove front wheel and lay it on its side in rear of hatchback to get it home. Is there anything that would "unseat" itself or come loose in that position? How is the motor installed/housed/encased? Appreciate any and all thoughts!

30 mile ride today with friend who is an avid cyclist (and a diy guy). He thinks it's the internal cables, nothing more and nothing serious. Sound only occurred a few times today, so unless it progresses either in frequency or intensity, likely won't take it in. It's so random the guys at the bike shop probably wouldn't even hear it on short test runs. Looks like something I may just have to live with!
