Sabvoton wiring confusion

Hi, I recently purchased a 5000w hub kit from Ali express, I have to hook up the Sabvoton 100amp controller phase wires to the wheel cable and was convinced the arrangement was yellow to yellow, blue to blue and green to green, but was advised by the supplier that I need to wire the blue to green to green to blue and yellow to yellow, or the motor may be burned. They even sent a photo of a controller wired in such a way. It just seems pretty weird and non intuitive. Can anybody advise on this?

If it was me, see if the u v w is labeled on sabvaton. On the motor do you have anything thats shows the u v w? Those are the motor phases and matching them to the motor.
Plus ask the manufacturer the same question and will they cover it if the controller or motor goes. These are touchy for sabvatons I hear and if wired wrong they may go kaput.

I would do as the manufacturer directs. The answer is much more involved than I have time to explain, but no, it isnt always color-to-color.
