Sounds like something else that can just go wrong/bad.

Also sounds like something to get a rider hurt. Another way for the goverment to control your ebike & have control over it.

I don't know, I wouldn't be so drastic in my judgments...

Then, let me say that looking out on this forum I got the impression that everything in the U.S. is seen as a "plot by the government" to get you pay for some services.

I don't know where this feeling, which I see as very common, comes from, but frankly it surprised me. I think always assuming it's a government conspiracy for this and that is questionable, specially when is some small company from Columbus, OH (https://orbitcityebikes.com/) but... whatever, my personal, humble opinion.

To me it's just something else to just make you a less attentive/aware driver/rider. That's all I'm saying. All this stuff is on the new cars, LOL so let's put it on ebikes too, then charge more for the ebike. More cost overall.

what you say now is different, and I can also agree that the risk is there. On the other hand, technology is moving forward.

The requirement to have seat belts, or rearview mirrors, raised the same criticism, but eventually we got used to them. That safety is a relative concept I can also agree with, but it is a fact that, not considering the differences in traffic density, people also died in cars much more.
