Aventon Aventure custom front rack

I have a step through Aventon Aventure and I’m looking to make a front platform for my dog to ride with me (she’s small). Has anyone made anything either utilizing the front rack or it’s mounting holes to create a platform or basket around 13”x16”? She is just under 20 pounds. I have a crate I made for her on the back rack now but I would like to move her to the front. I’m open to suggestions!

Can you just use extra large zipties to attatch that crate on the front basket/flat ?

It’s a little bigger than I wanted for the front. I could scale it down and make a smaller one but it’s a little heavy being made out of wood. I actually ordered a milk crate style plastic box that’s a little smaller and lighter that I may fasten to the front somehow. Just wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas.

Be sure to fasten the back/topback so things dont just flop out from the front.
