We used to just give historic amounts of cash away that we did not have...now we're buying everybody a bike.

wrong. That is a blanket statement that is not supported by evidence.

What this means is the cost of ebikes will go up. Everything does as a result of government subsidies.

If this goes through, kiss the days of inexpensive ebikes coming from anywhere goodbye.
It'll happen literally overnight if not at the very second that any gavel is pounded or days before when the vote is called.
