What are some of the factors that differentiate high quality vs low quality e-bike motors?

The bad ones are made in China on a Monday or Friday.
The good ones are made in China the rest of the week.
Finding out which ones break and which ones don't, involves more research and effort than most people are willing to do.
I did mine 10 years ago. Motor still works great, approaching 30,000 miles. Worn out two batteries and donor bikes.
