Cassettes - Cube reaction pro 400

I have a Cube reaction pro 400 with 12 speed cassette and find that I do not used the top 4 gears. Can I or has anyone changed the cassette from a 10 - 52 to a 10 - 34?
which is the best suspension seat post to use, 100kg 189cm rider?
