hi guys and girls i have been looking into building a 21700 13s10p battery for my 48v 1500w ebike that has a 30a rated current. I have used a battery builder calculator and it says it will give out 50ah 150 max continuous discharge current. If i paired this pack with a 40a bms would it work and how long would it last. i have put a post on a battery builders page on facebook and some people say it will last 1.6 hours or could drain in 20 mins please help me understand more about this pack any help would be greatly appreciated

Draw more amps, it will not last as long. Draw fewer amps, it will last longer.

If your controller has a 30A max, then the battery should last well over an hour, as you will likely not be pulling max amps the entire time.

There is "momentary" draw, and "continuous" draw. These are often somewhat flexible terms.

Also, amps means HEAT, and heat melts things. Melted things frequently no longer work.

Your question is somewhat along the lines of "how high is up?". If you stay under 10mph and pedal a LOT, it could last for days.
