I am relatitley new to ebikes. I have a trike which I bought from Amazon. I made it into a etrike. I used a 48volt 1000watt 13ah battery and front hub motor combo.
I would like to get opinions on what motor combo to get to get the (longest range) miles, kilometers? I am not interested in going fast, just going?
I know there are many factors, to take into consideration. Given that fact your opinion is needed!

Thank you for reading this post!

There are lots of factors that affect operating range of ebikes.
1. Rider weight
2. Sustained cruising speed
3. Terrain/wind direction
4. Temperature
5. Usage of throttle
6. Rotational mass (tire/wheel size)
7. Regen availability
8. Traffic pattern

20 mph may not seem fast to one rider, but another may consider to be plenty fast.
20 miles may not be long enough distance to one rider, but another may consider it be plenty far.

What exactly are your criteria, specification or goals you're trying to achieve?

hi again vkray :)

That 48V battery will do alright but if you want more miles in your saddle you may want to upgrade to a Higher AH battery.

Possibly a 48v 35ah battery.

So my criteria is distance!
I am not interested in going fast!
I am currently looking for a kit that will get me in the range of 30 miles give or take?
I have a 24" Fat Tire Trike!
I have just about given up on finding what I need!
I currently have a 48volt 1000vwatt 13ah combo, hub motor, controller, battery?.
What to do?
Who to talk to?
Thank you!
Help help help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not going to be pediling at all
Hi we know that mate :)

So...if i get this correctly my friend you want us to give names of kits for hub drives?
Ebikling: https://ebikeling.com/

Voilamart: https://www.voilamart.com/
https://www.voilamartusa.com/

Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr...leDesc=0&_odkw=ebike+hub+drive+kits&_osacat=0

(Take your pick)

Amazon maybe mate?

To answer quite simply, you asked for a good kit to get you 30 miles.... any Ebikling or Voilamart will do just that.
Your main problem will be what your battery will be able to comfortably give you for you to have that 30 miles....

What distance would your rides be? 10 mile, 20 mile, 40 mile?

How much do you weigh?

Will you be carrying any significant weight/cargo?

Is terrain on your ride pretty flat or involve long/steep hills?

Use a low-power motor, with a low KV rating or rpm.

If you would describe the motor you are currently using, and the range you get with that, this useful data will allow some significantly more accurate educated guesses as to what would better fit your needs.

You should choose the motor, THEN, AFTER THAT, replace the existing controller and likely display with one which matches the new motor.
If you already know you are getting a new motor, it is foolish choose the controller BEFORE choosing the motor, particularly in the case wherein you are totally unable to ensure basic compatibility.

Also, on a front-fork motor, NO FREAKING REGEN!!!!! Ever!

You want range and bought a fat-tire bike, did you choose it for the color or intend to use it as a decorative lawn ornament? Fat tires SUCK for range.
