Which brand is the best ebike? Cost is not the issue, I want quality. I need a bike that can do at least 80 miles round trip.

I agree, but from my quick read of the NV law, it is a blanket ban on anything above Class 2, not that it is allowed on the street but not on a bike path. I could be wrong.
Could be, a lot of states let you register a bike like this as a moped for riding on the streets but I don't know about NV but that would limit you from trail use probably. Here's an interesting youtube that is from CA it's about this guys e-bike build and he talks about range and also legality of his bike in CA. Pretty interesting because it is also about the rail adaptor he built to ride on unused railroad tracks.

It seems that lots of people are dead set against any kind of registration on an e-bike but I personally am not against it for powerful and fast e-bikes like the Delfast or Stealth Bombers
 
Mud and water blocking fenders was one of the big selling points for me with the E-bike I ended up buying. I guess we all have to look at what's important in our individual use. A UL listed battery, full suspension, sturdy cargo rack, hyd. disk brakes dual motors were some other things that were on my must have list.
 
I built my ebike for distance. I have a rear rack, and a bag that will also carry another ebike battery. My thought process is, if I am going to hit the road for a long trip, a extra ebike battery is a must, along with an small assortment of tools, tire repair stuff, first aid kit, and portable battery charger for my cellphone. I see so many talk about wanting distance, and such, with out considering the things you are goanna wanna or need carry. Every ebike maker is gonna shout there bike can go this or that far. Well, real distance is subjective. Your riding style, your physical size, the things you will carry, the path you take, lots of h ills??? So find a bike maker you can trust, make sure they will stand behind it. In the end, yea, battery life helps with distance, but there are so many more things than battery life that you need to consider. The biggie is Flat tires, and you have problems can you call for help, or, you on your own. Best of luck to ya
 
Thank you, Tym. I agree a reliable bike is just as important as batteries, and mitigating flat tires has always been a top concern for me, and making sure I stock all the tools to prevent them or fix them if need be.
 
I forgot, I did put FLATOUT which I got on amazon in my tubes. Now I have no idea if it works like they say, but figured what could it hurt. I am kinda hoping carying all the stuff I do, is something I wont need. Cause my luck, if I dont have it, something will happen where I sure wish I did. I live in an area where you just dont see many on bikes, so when I out country riding, I put on a orange and yellow safety vest. A buddy of mine said, if they someone hits you wearing that vest, you can be sure they were aiming for ya, no way you can miss that.

the vest and flat out are both good ideas!
