Hello,
My wife has and likes very much her Velotric discover 1.

She would however like to have a charging cable to keep at her office as well...they are sold out the velotric website.

Can anyone recommend a generic/alternative charger that works for the battery of Velotric Discover 1?

Much appreciated

Useful information would be:
A picture of the writing (specifications) ON your current charger... such as 48v 54.6 max charge 2 AH with a picture that shows polarity of the charging connector...
AND a picture of your plug which goes to battery, with some well-known object (like a penny) for scale.

There are three popular charging connector types for most eBikes, but sometimes a vendor will get froggy and come up with something custom.

The battery voltages tend to fall into specific groups, with the most common being 36v and 48v (although 60v is on the rise).

Bottom line, you will want the SAME charging voltage, ideally the SAME charging current, and ABSOLUTELY the same charging connector with the same polarity. Most use a barrel connector with the center pin positive.

Hate to say this, the plug on my Velotric Go1 charger looks proprietary. It is a little bigger then the 8mm 3 pin type and instead of a notch it has 1 flat side. I hope they get them in stock soon. Occasionally they turn up on Ebay, so you could, in the future check there.

Thanks, here are what the plugs look like... seems like a single consistent standard would be highly desriable. I guess USB-C can't handle the amount of power required...

Think they do that so you have to go to them for chargers. Although I doubt they have their chargers custom made you may be able to find something on the Chinese site that sell stuff like the charger.
