I’m loving the look of the Fusion GT - a gorgeous lightweight, carbon-framed, step-thru. But it raises a lot of questions for me.
It originally caught my eye as an interesting prototype more than a year ago, with a Bafang mid-motor and an Enviolo gearbox option. Nice! But now they’ve ruined it with dual hub motors. On a road bike? Why?
And it’s rammed with gimmicky tech, finger-print recognition, indicators that project on to the ground etc, and stuff you need a subscription for. It even talks to you. Who actually wants this crap?
Electronics are the Achilles Heel of e-bikes, now here are 101 extra things to go wrong. I’d pay extra to have all that removed.
