Hi. I bought the standard Voilamart 1000w kit with the throttle that has six wires. But I wanted to vary the power so I bought the LCD controller and the sw900. I thought it would be just a plug and play but what do I do with connecting the throttle? The original throttle has six wires so I cut the red, black, and green wires off the connector and joined them to the corresponding red, black and green wires on what I presume is the throttle on the controller. Nothing is happening. Nothing on the display and the rear wheel doesn’t spin. There is power getting to the rear hub because you can hear that sound it makes when the power is turned on. Is it as simple as connecting different wires on the throttle to the controller? Any help would be appreciated.

I can't tell you how to fix your problem. I don't know anything about the motor you referenced, but if it were me I would start with identifying what the wires are assigned to do for all the components. You can't really assume standard color codes with things sometimes. What gave you the idea that you could do what you are attempting? Is there a hack video or something? Are the new things you're installing all Voilamart components? I dont think you can just not connect half the wires and have it work the way you're expecting it to. It may be time to reexamine the plan.

Yes they’re all Voilamart components and just a step up from the kit that I originally bought. The LCD screen plugs nicely into the new controller as do things like the PAS and the power cables. The only thing that is a problem is the twist throttle that doesn’t have anywhere to plug into because it has a six wire connection. I have seen on another thread that it’s the red, black and white wires that should be connected so I’ll try that later.

Can ya take a bunch of pics so we can see everything you see

Also check on ebay for voilamart throttles 6 pin and 3 pin.

When changing the controller to the LCD one you would need to have that LCD display and the different throttle with the different connection...

All can be had off ebay, I hope this helps you :)

once you get your throttle figured out you'll be able to tune it a bit with the settings in the display
that you can change around...
Before you do that though, be sure to write down what the stock configuration is on each setting.

Hope this helps you get back on the road

From the Right...1....then the second one from the right....Red, Black, Green.

As said before though, sometimes these colors are different on other types of throttles...make sense mate?

You'll need to either get the matching throttle to the new controller or you'll need to figure out the pin out for the old throttle...

Keep us posted as to how everything works out for ya mate!

Found the one I need on eBay…but I’ll have a little play with mine and see what happens before I order it.
