Unresponsive ebike, stuck on full power, bafang 860c display does not turn on...

One night going home the display would not turn on (bafang 860c)
The motor worked, but only in full power..
My question is, is it the display itself, or can it be the on/off switch ( level selector)
Have any of you suggestions before I spend 100€ on something I might not need

Turned out it was the display, a new one solved the problem.
