Tires & Tubes Tyres help please

I have restored a specialised Hardrock frame.I am going to install a Bafang HD on it,the forks i have chosen are Manitou Markhor.I need some help with tyres.I want something that will do canal paths and road. Can you recommend some please. The tyres are 26x2.Also a chain suitable for the Bafang motor.

On a 26" bike I would go with Schwalbe Marathon tires. There are several grades and some are e bike specific. They are heavy but low rolling resistance giving you greater range on bike path. They are also quiet.
