New to ebikes, only 100 miles under my butt. Trying to learn what my battery can do. 36v 13 ah battery. My normal route is 7.2 miles around my neighborhood.
Full charge shows 5 bars on gauge and 41.3 volts. After 18.5 miles of riding Pas 1, 3rd gear, steady pedaling no throttle 12 to 13 mph I am down to 3 bars and 36.2 volts.
I only weigh 160 pounds, and the terrain is pavement and flat.
I stopped and recharged the battery.
I read online AI that 36volt batteries should not be run below 36 volts. Is this true, my gauge still said half full. Should I push the battery further or is AI correct.
If true, I am not getting anything near the advertised milage. I've heard that exaggerated milage claims is common. I am ok with the milage as my normal route is just over 7 miles, but it would be nice to get in 3 rides between charges. Liking this bike even if this is all I'm going to get.

You can run it down to 33v/25% every couple months then Balance charge the battery.

Can't really trust that the advertised mileage will be correct...they pad their specs quite a bit when selling these things

Your battery's own shut down point, to protect itself, is around 30v. I'd guess your gauge is measuring the differnce between 41v and 30v. So, with a range of 11 volts telling you 36v is halfway is about right. Does that make sense? AI is like the kid in class who always raises his hand but never really has the correct answer.
