Truck run motor programming

I have been told that Truckrun motors are not programmable.
I have the equivalent of a Bafang BBSO2 .

I have issues with the replacement Truckrun motor because it has no walk assist,
Seems to be set on max power.
Uses 45% more battery,
highly sensitive and comes on automatically.
Power level ! seems to be set on 60% and there is
No delay when you stop pedaling and gears crash - nylon gear will bust....chain?

Anyone have experience with this motor set-up?

Do you know which exact model you have and which display? I found a help area for displays that might let you pin down what can be adjusted. I have to say this company has a whole lot of palaver and not a lot of hard information. The picture of the motors is from their manual which is a pdf, but I didnt find the rest of it very helpful.

Many thanks for the rply. I will certainly check this out. In the meantime I am looking for a new Bafang motor but cannot purchase just the motor here in SA. I have to purchase the whole kit....pedals, throttle, brakes, huge chainring which is difficult to use and trashes the motor

Can you buy from Aliexpress over there? You've also have to be careful now with Bafang because they are changing a lot of their motor protocols. According to Google you can also order from Ebay if you pay the import fees. You will need the Bafang display too, as the controller in the BBs02 is not compatible otherwise.

I have other questions I hope by means of this Forum, somebody will be able to advise on?

I need to purchase a replacement motor off the Internet.... BBSO2 500W x 48V
So, ......
1. Will any programming cable work for the Bafang? I would like to turn the motor down in PA and output? (longer battery life?
2. Which is a recommended program to use and where am I able to download it? There seems to many kinds on the net)
3. Is the display and controller matched or can I use my existing display on the new motor.?
4. Once I have the program cable, will I be able adjust the TruckRun controller as it is highly sensitive, no walk assist, operates at max power in all PA settings, very long delay after stopping pedalling resulting in very harsh gear changes.

Once again, you advise and suggestion will be greatly appreciated as there seems to no backup in this country.
