I have an ebikeling kit that utilizes a cadence sensor. Two questions:
Are there aftermarket torque sensors? If there are, can the bike be retrofitted to use a torque sensor?

I had the same question when I purchased a hub motor bike and ended up converting an old TREK to a mid drive with a torque motor. I like it much better because it feels more natural. Now my grandson rides the hub drive one.

Thanks for the reply. What size/power mid drive motor did you get?

There are options. Grin Tech has a bottom bracket cartridge they sell. You drill a hole under the BB to run a wire. I think there is more to it as well, possibly also their Cycle Analyst. It's not an inexpensive thing to do.
