thumb throttle 3 pin, i want to switch from twist throttle to thumb throttle, both have 3 pin connection but the new thumb throttle won't work. i have tried 3 different types, none work. any suggestions.

Cut off the plugs, match the wires, solder, wrap and ride.

Does anyone have a pin out for the Aventon plug?

The 3 wires are 5v+, Negative, signal. Usually, but not always red is 5v+, black is negative, and white is signal.
This is a good diagnostic tool that will allow you to identify which wire is which,
