I don't think this is a protocol problem. The display is talking about how it can be set up, not how it is set up. Frankly, as far as I know, we have never had someone with an EN06 display, bought separately from the controller, actually work. If anything misterjuco says, helps, that's great, but I think the issue is more than the throttle. Swagtron is not supportive of its products. According to Reddit it is currently out of business. If you continue with this, you should realize you are now just building an ebike. The parts will have to be independent of the bike. I don't know what you do if the motor is toast. You are going to have to decide how far to go, considering the parts are no longer supported. You could sell the bike for the parts and find something more reliable. Are you in the country of Panama or one of the cities named that way? I am sorry I am not of more help, but this seems to be the circumstance.

Hi Annie. One thing I noticed is the pedal assist kind of works even with the display error so u am hoping the motor works still. While looking for displays on ebay I did find this. And the en06 display I ordered apparently comes with the UART No. 2 protocol

Also a user from a UK forum for electric bikes had a similar issue with a display on which he had a error 10 code and it was on a setting option for the com protocol on his display.

If the motors running that's great. Hopefully some of the ebikers in the UK can help you out. Their bikes are UK restricted, so watch out for different input numbers and best of luck.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to thank you for the help. Managed to get the swagtron working again. Issue was the display. Problem is that the en06 display and controller these bikes use are customized. This is why I couldn't get any other screen to work with the controller. Luckily, found an ebay seller who has surplus parts from the brand since they went out of business. If you try setting something up on the display menu, it only allows you to dim the screen and change the display units, nothing else
