SW 900 colour display settings

Hi hi
I have a SW900 colour controller that is different to the non colour version.
Anyone know how to use it and get into the settings?
The photos upload is what is displayed after holding the up & down arrow together for a few seconds.
The 4 dashes, you can arrow up & down through numbers or some letters.
Any help much appreciated

Hi, I think what you are looking for is the Sciwil manual pages for the sw900-va. I will post some sites. If I am wrong just let me know and I will keep hunting. Oddly one of the manual sites comes up in Gaelic, but it can be translated.

How do I reset the controller?? This might work??

OK, I have run into this before. Sciwil makes these displays for a number of different controllers. Sciwil has a help bot on their web site that you could try. They may want to know what your actual controller is if you can access that and screen shot the label. Google Ai has a plan if you need to do a reset.but I don't know if it will work or not. They have you go into P settings and reset the odometer, which on some models does a total reset.

It occurred to me reading your first post you might not be familiar with P settings, so I will post a page from the sw900 VA manual which should suffice. The pdf. for this manual may still be helpful to you. You can download it at Sciwil or at the sites above.

some of these ebike kit manufacturers will block out some features of the SW900 and other displays for the actual
ebike kit sellr..make sense?

For instance, NBPower, on one of their kits that uses the sw900 Display, some of the fetures are locked since
the kit seller wanted his kit to be a certain way...make sense? This sucks for alot of users until they get another display that will
allow them to use full funtionality of their display. I have 2 SW900 displays from NBPower that are both set to
certain parameters, which i dont like, so i changed to an older version/model of the SW900 display to get full
control over the setting I choose to change.

Well yes, yes it does. It helps quite a lot. It explains why some people hook up old displays and they work, while new displays sent by the same bike company don't, then they had the temerity to set up P00 reset as optional, with no recourse. They've lost a number of customers to KT over that one. Thanks for your input.

So, I don't think I've been too clear here by what I've said before. If you go into your P settings and you have no P00, then you have to try what Google recommends in the attachment above. Let me know if it works. Also, if you can, let us know what your bike or kit is. It might help narrow some of this down.

Hi hi, Thankyou again. I am familiar with P settings but I just can’t get into them. This is the problem. Holding - & + together takes me to 4 dashes that you can select 1 to 9 and then some letters. I figure this is a passcode (attached pictures)
I now think I’m going to have to somehow reset the controller but don’t know how. I can’t get into the P settings to do this.
The seller said they contacted the manufacturer (I don’t believe them) and apparently the settings can’t be changed. This is because they have set the parameters incorrectly to read you are going faster than you are.

its a Cullen.
The SW900 has the a serial number on the back.
I also notice that when I turn on the display screen it shows the Bluetooth icon but can’t pick up anything on my iPhone.

I would have thought there would be a way to connect to the controller with a cable or do some reset.

A lot of people on " Product review.com.AU" are not too happy with their Cullen ebikes. There seems to be a problem with speed dropping off, which I'm guessing, has to do with the controller. Apparently, customer support is non existent. For a number of reasons, especially some of the ones HumanPerson mentioned, sw900 displays and their controllers are a pain to work with. A bunch of people on this forum have decided to dump them and install KT controllers, which are dependable and capable of having each parameter specifically set. The good thing about ebikes in general is that they are a compilation of components. There is a great deal you can change out or rebuild yourself. If your problem persists, you might want to watch some videos on installing a new controller and display and see if that's what you want to do next. There is a lot of information here and on Youtube. Let us know what you think.

Hi Milli I have the 2000w Cullen with the same SW900 colour screen. I contacted them about the password not long after I received the bike and had no reply. I also contacted them regarding parts for a Cullen kit I put on an ebike a year earlier, also no reply. Apparently Cullen don't do customer service. Anyway I am planning to contact them again and will let you know if I get anywhere.
