I recently bought a stealth bomber b52. Initially I thought I had a faulty battery. The bike was charging but only to 75 percent according to the display then the charger wouldn’t give anymore power. When checking on a multi meter the battery is infact fully charged at 82/83 volts but my display says otherwise and I get a low battery warning. I ordered a new display from stealth in case this was at fault but no the issue still persists. I’m now thinking it’s the controller?

Stealth only seem interested in selling and when I ask about anything technical they ignore.

The display lists almost empty but also on the bike display the live volts is correct at full voltage.

Can anyone offer any help.

My son has a 2014 B52 that he bought new. I have a 2013 model Bomber that came with the same battery as his bike.
In both cases we have 18ah 72v made with LiFePo4 cells that charge to 87.6v. Both of our chargers are identical, and charge to 87.6v.

Are you having any problem with the bms locking out?

Yeah this is the same battery 72v 18ah life04. I was told it was a 2020 model but I think it’s probably 2018ish number 875. When I first got it the battery percent meter was at 72 percent I rode around the block and got the low battery warning at about 70 percent remaining. When I put it on charge it took it to about 75 percent then stopped taking charge. Now it seems to only charge to around 40 percent but be at 83/84 volts, it will drop within seconds of riding it down to about 15 percent then sit at that for an age. I hope it’s not a controller. I’ve ordered a new battery 150 amp bms and 45ah just waiting for it to be built so then I can rule out the battery

Stealth came back to me they think it’s a bad cell. I guess if you say 87.6 volts for yours fully charged this could be the case as mine will only take 84 max.

Well I fitted the new battery today it’s a lithium 45ah battery 150bms. At full charge it’s showing 53 percent. I think the programming in the controller or display its obviously configured for lifep04 which has a higher charge voltage I guess that will explain that. But what I can’t get my head around at full throttle I’ll only get 33mph on the stand with no one riding it. The last quarter on the throttle there’s no more power given it’s holding back for some reason. No errors on display or anything. Any idea on that.
