Spokeless in Maine.....

I need some 12 ga 280mm spokes and nipples. Local shop having some trouble getting them.
I would like to get stainless steel this time around.
Does anyone have a source?

You do not want 12G. 13-14 double butted is ideal, Sapim a good brand. Lots of shops will custom cut.

Spokes are supposed to be flexible, 12g is too strong to be properly tensioned on a bicycle rim. Rim and spokes act as a spring, not a rigid construct.

Yes, many cheap chinese rims do. Do you want a cheap, poorly made Chinese rim or one that will last 10 years with virtually no maintenance required?
