I am surprised the Torque figure is so low on this bike. But, you can get away with that if the motor spins really fast, and is geared down significantly.

Yes, if the motor spins fast, the power is multiplied. E-bike forums appear to assume that it’s all about torque, but torque is a pretty meaningless parameter without revs. That gives you ‘power’ (bhp, kW etc) which is ‘torque x time’ and that’s what provides the usable motive force. Example, the Honda Fireblade produces a mere 112nm of torque, similar to a lot of e-bikes, but those e-bike motors only spin at a few hundred rpm so effective power is low. The Honda on the other hand, revs to 14,500rpm where it produces 214bhp and getting on for 200mph.
