Buying a new wabash Rt but I’m a little confused with sizing . I’m 5’8” and inside leg 30” . According to their sizing I should be on a small frame? Bit worried that may be too small as I would have thought I’d be a medium frame. Anyone similar height and inside leg ride a medium and thoughts on if that was the right choice? I still have a window to change to a small if I need to . The shop seems to think I’m a medium . I’m 75kg by way if that makes a difference !
Thanks

Which sizing chart are you using? The sizing chart on the yamahabicycles.com website shows you would be more suited to a medium frame.

Fair warning I'm really new to E-bikes myself. Then again I have some experience with riding and off roading many motor cycles over the years. I would say two things in answer to your question. One how do you plan to use it? Two are you planning or might you possibly want to carry anything along? If you're going to ride hard then the smaller bike might just maybe be more fun. BUT If you have any road trip plans or general riding or you plan to carry stuff then the medium I would think. I think the best size for you is going to depend on what you're going to do with it and here's why I think that. I had a lot of Dual Purpose bikes from 80's - 650's and the smaller bikes IE: 250's-450s were much better for getting rowdy and the 650 was the best for taking trips and carrying loads. The E-bike I now have is great all around but far to large to get rowdy off road. It's size helps me get around really rough terrain but these days I ride slow and easy 90% of the time. Just like the 650's were too big for ME for getting rowdy off road so is my current E-bike, I didn't buy it for that I bought to get from A to B through Z carrying whatever I want on ALL TERRAINS and it does that very well. It has more speed and torque than I expected given the price point. I am 6"1' or so and just under 200lbs and this is the bike I bought back in October and already have 500+ miles on.

I agree with you @BiggKidd the smaller lighter motor bikes are more fun and easier to handle. When it comes to push bikes though I prefer a medium. I tried a small downhill mountain bike once, and it just felt like my weight was too far forward and I would go over the front handlebars. I can't comment on gravel bikes though, maybe the smaller frame is lighter and your feet can reach the ground easier?

@Jimace Can you test ride both the small and medium Yamaha's and see which one feels the better?
