Redding ca.
Took short ride today before next storms coming. Went to downtown Redding ca to check out Bike Depot that Redding is building for walkers, bikers and as a meeting area.

It was a short ride but my new knee needs like the rest of my body excise. Our town is bringing the old part of town to life with housing, new business, parking, court house and to make it a bike friendly place for people to come too. So far looking great , seems to be 2 years already and still working on it. So many things to do here all year long. Love living here.

Making me homesick jimbo5. I'm from Eureka. I've riding in Eureka, I can get anywhere on a bike, and there's so many routes to take. Very bike friendly. Unfortunately I only get out there every 3 or 4 years. I've biked all over the world, and I think the Eureka area is the best. No need for a car.
I never biked in Redding, but I'd like too.

Well maybe it's time to visit Redding. Town is changing alot and lots of bike friendly trails and paths. A new Bike depot for visitors should open very soon. Just wait till it cools down some if using e bikes. It's a beautiful area with lots to see and do. I live in a RV park full time and I would say 4 out of 10 RV's stopping here at Green Acres rv park have e bikes and half have standard bikes, with water crafts . They have some mountain bike races during the year and so many other big events like Kool April Nites big week long car shows , a big archery shoot rite after that. Both bring in thousands of people from all over the US and the world. Sundial Bridge, turtle bay, oldest running drag strip, mountains, lots of early history from gold, Oregon trail, the UFO and stories about mt Shasta , mount Lassen which is like a small Yellowstone volcanic park. World famous for fishing around here too.
It's just the heat in summer very hot but did I say this 2nd sunniest city in USA.
BUT I miss the ocean and I miss puget sound where I use to live and work at the lazy B (Boeing)

It's a Beautiful area for sure. Last time up that way we stayed at a RV Park just north of Redding. Super nice. Can't remember the name of it. We also stay at the mt Lassen KOA up hwy 44. We fulltimed for 17 mo, and did all lower 48 states. Now we just use the 5th wheel for trips home to visit family. Probably going to be there this winter.

Sounds like your doing what is fun and definitely enjoying life. Was it mountain gate rv park you stay at about 7 miles north on right hand side of I-5?.

We also full time, Redding will definitely be on the list when decide to go out west. I have family in the bay area and Socal so we will need a few years out there to catch up with everyone.
