Share the Ride. Pictures, Videos and Stories From the Road or Trail

Old engines that are still going today. Yellow one was used to transfer munitions for the Navy. Now it is used to pull cars for tourists smoking vados to go scuba diving for Yellow Submarine Wreck.
Pretty cool, thanks for sharing. I never thought of Hawaii as having railroads, (except for history regarding the terrible way that the US acquired Hawaii, I am quite ignorant of the true Hawaii). Like any tourist destination, there is the travel brochure-postcard version and the actual place where people live.

Another beautiful late summer day. I stayed on the New Hampshire side of the river today.

No, not “the” Jason Bourne, (at least I don’t think it is).

This poor old covered bridge has seen better days and doesn’t appear to be getting any love. Even the “cross at your own risk” sign needs help.

I took my chances, (it’s pretty solid).

The babbling brook is nearly dry. Don’t let the jungle fool you, we could use some rain.

Please don’t let me turn this thread into “The Django Show”.

Today was a beautiful late summer day in the North East US.

My new friends, (they were very curious).

South Woodstock, Vermont. This is not a tourist “country store”. It is a real general store, cafe and Post Office.

Sugaring house. The blue lines are piping for sap collection, (these have pretty much replaced the tap and bucket).

Don’t mind it being the Django Show……the pics are great. Keep ‘em coming!

You‘re making me itch to take another trip up to Vermont soon.

Foliage is still a few days short of peak, but I took a nice 100 Kilometer ride yesterday and brought the GoPro along. This video is just a teaser. A bright blue sky and some Cumulus clouds will help, (maybe Thursday).

Here is part 2. The best color begins around 2 min 45 seconds in. I hope that more riders will share their pictures and videos. It's a big beautiful world, and we have a great view of it.

I took a nice long bike ride to Niagara Falls today.

Between perfect weather (65-70, slight breeze), bright sunshine, and beautiful fall foliage, this was one of the most enjoyable rides I’ve ever taken.

Here are some pics to share….

Very nice. I’m glad that you are out and about.

Here are a couple short videos. We are at peak now. If you are not too sick of these foliage videos yet, please give them a look. I do love this area.

Please set your YouTube settings to HD, otherwise, it looks like rubbish.

Old America, can't stop Lovin her!!

My first experience about five weeks ago on a rented ebike.

Location: New Hope PA to Lumberville, PA. Delaware River Canal. I had a wreck because the other side of the walk over bridge had a sign too muddy to read. Extremely quiet on a sunny Friday morning after Labor Day. I'm believe the path runs sixty miles from Bristol PA (21 miles NE of Philly) to Easton PA and through Washington's Crossing.

As is typical, the foliage season tends to end with a few days of rain and wind. This will probably be my last foliage post for this year.

Here is a video from my side of the Connecticut river, (the New Hampshire side). Cornish to Plainfield and back, (Maxfield Parrish country). The video even begins and ends on the Maxfield Parrish Highway. Please watch in HD.

Last pictures for 2022, (I promise). You don’t generally have decent riding conditions in Vermont two days before New Year. The average temperature today was a balmy 41 degrees, (no compalint).

It’s odd to see this much running and open water this time of year.

It’s not Vermont without a covered bridge. Happy New Year.

Which bridge is that, Django?

Our family keeps a log of covered bridges visited whenever we vacation in Vermont.

It’s in Hammondsville Vermont. It crosses over to a farm and it’s no longer open to the public, (there is a gate on one end). I have ridden across it prior to the gate being installed. I don’t know the bridge name or number. It appears in this article, but it’s not named, (they refer to it as the Mill Brook covered bridge).
