Its today's new norm. Rules do not apply to "me" and F* you for thinking they should.
Getting worse every day. Apparently, the majority of US citizens prefer it this way.

@riplipper it's the norm the world over not just the US....arrogance and rudeness has no boundaries....
100,000 illegal alien mofos, including murderers, rapists, and child trafficker's run across our southern border everyday with no end in sight, and no fear of being arrested, but how dare these SurRon riders go down a city trail they're not supposed to be on just for fun. I wonder why they think they can get away with it?

I don't consider what I wrote political at all, it's just reality. When you have big laws being ignored not only by the criminals, but also the authorities, it's not surprising that average citizens would start taking liberty's too. I'm one of them, so get over it.

As an ex-Navy veteran ('78 - '82) I don't like the direction the country is headed and neither does anyone else I'm sure....but, as I stated, this is not the site for such comments....the beauty of this great country of ours is that anyone who wants to can stand up and try to fight for change....ranting & raving behind a keyboard and blaming others accomplishes nothing....Thanks, @JerryB for understanding and everyone have a good day....

My ebike is pretty powerful. I used to ride motorbikes. So I generally try to avoid highways etc. I have toyed with the idea of making my bike street legal. Ebikes are the way forward I think. In the UK they are going to relax the laws a bit and make the maximum speed 30mph.

I love how you think, but having had large motorcycle road bikes and WAY too many close calls with distracted drivers, I will never ride a bike on the road again. 'Share the road" signs don't help if a driver does not see them due to texting. That's my soap box for the day. Drive safe and VERY cautious. cheers

I would not like to end up road kill, I have to agree with you. When riding my ebike I try to avoid roads and stick to cycle paths. It's difficult in London where I live though.

I couldnt imagine riding in either city to be honest LOL

I rode to Manhattan for work and for pleasure back in the early 90's when I still lived in Brooklyn, and I can testify that if you don't have good reflexes and good peripheral vision, you're a dead duck!! I've seen many a bike messenger get whacked by someone running across the road when they shouldn't or opening their car doors without looking in the driver side door-mounted rear-view mirror!! I had many a close call myself back in those days and it's not pleasant. The pedestrians, even when in the wrong, thought they OWNED the streets. What I would sometimes do is ride with the rear wheel a little under pressure so that if I slammed on the brakes, it screeched REAL LOUD and scared the beejeezus out of them!! They didn't like it but at least it got their attention.Would riding in London be like riding in New York City? I'm trying to wrap my head around this..
