Im looking to have my rear tire replaced and the shop is concerned about disconnecting the wire from the rear hub motor. Has anyone had problems with this? I assumed replacing a tire would be simple.

Did you get it fixed? I don't have a hub motor but I know removing the rear wheel can be complicated. I’ve come across several utube videos on how to do this.

Tire changing can be a 'challenging' task with a rear hub motor. Disconnecting the motor wire is the easiest part.
Sounds like the shop doesn't get many ebikes. I could walk you through it, probly wouldn't help. Easiest, with bike
upside down. 1st rule of mechanics: it goes back together the way it came apart....with occasional variations.
You might look for tutorials on Utube.

What am I missing here? Checking the bike on the internet, the A7 Pro has a midrive. There shouldn't be any power cord in the rear. I think you need a new bike shop, or just a video on how to change a bicycle tire.
