Remove grip handle

I need to change my brake lever on my ecotric electric bike, but it is difficult to remove the leather grip. Could someone advise me how to do it without damaging the bar and the grip?

This worked for me. Take a thin object, thin narrow knife or similar, push it in an inch or so under the inner part of the grip Squirt or spray some alcohol in the space the knife has made. This should make it easier to this twist the grip off.

The above suggestion is the way, almost any liquid will do, I used glass cleaner.

Be careful to not use too much force as it should come off much easier than you may expect. I have a funny story on this, but it was quite painful at the time.
