Rad Runner 2 - Solar panel on trailer for charging?

I don't think your RadRunner 2 is a good vehicle for back country elk hunting. You are going to end up disappointed no matter what you do.

The money that you were going to spend on a trailer & solar panels should be spent on a gas-powered ATV, IMO. If there are trails, maybe a bakfiets cargo bike.

Or maybe a mid-drive mountain bike with something like a Burley trailer so the low gearing of the bike can be utilized. Skip the solar panel. If you run out of juice, you'll have a really nice low gear that you can likely pull on your own.

In my world, designing power tools, we would start with a Product Definition, in which we say what we want from the product. In your case, you are starting with a Rad Runner 2 to haul an animal (admittedly maybe in pieces) that weighs many hundreds of pounds. It's more than the bike can carry, so you're looking at at trailer, but the bike still has to pull that weight, plus the weight of the trailer and whatever other stuff you plan to haul. Marketing would propose this and engineering would decline it.
