I was poking around for something else, and noticed this model, which I hadn't come across before. It seems to tick a lot of boxes for a utility eBike:
[√] All terrain tires. Smooth enough tread not to be obnoxious on pavement, but with enough bit to be useful on hard-packed dirt & gravel. (esp. when deflated a bit)
[√] Class 1/2/3: I think Rad's first to go up to 28 mph / 45 kph
[√] 2 year warranty. I think this is industry-leading
[√] Center stand; feet double as passenger foot pegs
[√] Hydraulic disc brakes
[√] Integral rear rack. Optional range extender (blender) + extra battery goes between the rear rack and fender
[√] Integrated lighting includes
[√] "Safe Shield" (encapsulated) battery
[√] 7-speed w/Shimano Altus derailleur
[√] Semi-integrated, easily removable battery
[√] Steering head braze-ons for front luggage rack
[√] 420 lb. payload
[√] USB-C output for phone charging (?? A)
[√] Torque sensor
[√] Hi-Lo beam headlight with auto on/off via ambient light sensor
[√] Turn signals (rear)
[√] Rear radar
[√] Apple FindMy integration is stock
[√] Front suspension
[√] IPX6 moisture ingress tested (can withstand heavy rain, but not submersion)
On paper, this bike looks about perfect. A nice short tail alternative to the Lectric Xpedition, in (roughly) the same price point. $2300 at the time of this writing.
I'm/we're not affiliated with Rad.
