Hi,
it's my first time in Bafang programming.
I've a 19,2 Ah 36V battery.
I'm using these parameters, what do you think about that:

I'm looking for a configuration that let me use the bike like a traditional one using the first 2 levels of assistance.
Do you have any suggestion?

Before you do any of this be sure to write down your current settings.

you could try setting the
-current limit [A]: to 16
-Assist 0 - 1 & 1
-Assist 1 - 8 & 9
-Assist 2 - 9 & 18

**Before you do those changes be sure to have your "Max speed road" set to 18mph**

Start Current - 8
Start Degree (Signal No.) - 5
Stop Delay [x10ms] - 5
Keep Current [%] - 38

Here we have the limit to 15,5 mph.
So, considering your suggestion the configuration should be the following:

I have some questions:
1) Can I ask you the meaning of Keep Current? What is the difference "in pratical terms" beetwen 38 and 60 ?
2) What is the meaning of assigning 1 & 1 to Assist 0 ?
3) In the original configuration the Current Limit was 24A. I downgraded it to 18A (for safety reason). Why 16A could be better ? not low enough 18A?

In attached the "original" configuration.

Keep Current is the amount of assist that is retained when Current Decay pulls power back.

I'm not sure what ya have there mate so i can't really say what the difference is or will be for you.

Thank you,
I edited the reply adding also these questions : )

- What is the meaning of assigning 1 & 1 to Assist 0 ? --- Something to do with the throttle on demand.

Here is a little write up that an old friend did:
