I have an Ordica Neo E-bike approx. two years old I would like to fit a throttle but need answers to the following:

1. Where is the motor controller located and is it easy to access?

2. Can I use a generic throttle unit on this controller and is there an existing connector?

I can be contacted at: [Email address removed to protect user - please message the user through the forum or reply below]

Heya mate, welcome to the foruems!

I've not :unsure:heard of that brand

Seems like an Australian ebike brand.

1. I am guessing the controller is located somewhere inside the tube, next to the battery.
2. That is probably a question that you can ask Ordica: https://www.ordica.com.au/contact-us/

From what I can see on there site, only the Ordica Swift has a throttle: https://www.ordica.com.au/product/ordica-swift-26-inch-light-grey/

So maybe it's possibe to add a throttle, but you would need to find the controller, and see if there is a model number written on it.

Hello, a bunch of these Neos are midrives, is yours? The midrive is most likely to have the controller in the motor. The company doesn't say who makes their motors. You might have to question them on this and get back to us. The motor is one of the few components they don't talk about much at all. Let us know what they say and which Neo you have.

I have found them to be most unhelpful , especially with DIY-ers like me. The bike is out of warranty , so why should they deny me specific information for quite an expensive product!
