Hi
I have a CROSS MAYFAIR E+ BIKE- my problem is - battery charges and turns on ok. The handle bar display lights up aswell as the crank sensor magnet Led light. The motor has been tested and all the hall sensors are working OK. I have no power from the motor at all. When I disconnect the 9 pin lead from the motor the display freezes. Any help with this is most appreciated. Thank you in advance.

What did disconnecting the 9-pin lead do before you were having the issue? When you test the motor, what are you testing for? Do all your connections look free of corrosion? If you're confident that the crank sensor is working and the motor should be working, then your issue seems like it's a power to the wheel problem. Could be a broken wire or connection somewhere. Has the hub been in the rain a lot?

Hi- thanks for replying, I never disconnected the 9 pin before. A friend tested the motor, he said that the motor hall sensors were all working when spinning the rotor and the lead had power too. No corrosion anywhere and all connections like new and tight, the crank sensor lights up everything the magnet passes, does this mean it's working? All wire look new as I have pulled then through the frame to Inspect. Thanks again for the info. Cheers Mike.

How are your brake cut off switches looking? Do any of them appear stuck? I can't really see your plugs. If you just unplug them both, what happens?

If all the connectors are fine. Check if the brake light is on(not sure your bike have one), yeah, check your brake lever stuck. This bike has a controller? If it's not the pedal assist sensor then it should be the controller or the motor itselt.

Hi- thanks for reply- yes I disconnected the brake switches, no change at all. The switches at the levers are free to move too. Cheers

Hmm... i can't really find out much about this model with a front hub motor. Has your torque bracket, at the hub always been working properly? If it let the hub twist it could pull on wiring. The next thing might be to test the the bikes side of the plug going to the hub motor. How many volts do you have headed to the hub, this would help tell if there is a controller problem. By the way, where is the controller on this model?

Brake cutoff? if the connection or wire's damaged you get nothing. even if one is still working. There are cheap e-bikes that
are still pretty good, 'But' one needs due diligence researching specs,& co. reputation. That can be hard these days with so
many now on the market. I tend to be very leery of anything under $800.
